FEEDING our THOUGHTS!
We take for granted the food we put into our mouth and we give no conscious thought to what is going on in our mind, our thoughts. Is it any wonder we have a ‘drug of choice’ problem in our culture? The ‘drug of choice’ might be food, alcohol, smoking, narcotics, prescription, relationships etc. It doesn’t matter what the drug of choice is; what matters is paying (or not paying) attention to the consequences of our habits. Our habits are the outward expression of what we are thinking. What message is your subconscious thought sending you? Is it negative or positive thoughts that you might be subjecting yourself to everyday twenty-four-seven? In my experience, on a regular basis, many people are suffering the consequences of listening to their negative thoughts and not paying attention to positive thoughts. I know we experience a different outcome when we listen to positive thinking about ourselves. So the challenge is clearly, what are we doing about our negative thinking and how are we feeding ourselves positive thoughts regularly?
Every time you find yourself saying “I CAN”T loss weight successfully!” “I’m NOT ready to quit smoking!” “I DIDN’T get to exercise today, there are direct consequences taking place with the overall body chemistry and health. All the negative statements we listen to change who we are and how we feel about ourselves, these culprits are at the source of self sabotage. If negative thoughts are playing active roles in the subconscious then where did these thoughts come from originally? ANSWER: We were all given or fed information in our youth, unfiltered, that led us to believe that we are worthy beings or maybe the opposite is true, we were fed information that led us to believe we were not worthy beings. What our mind believes our body will achieve! In other words, if the mind believes the messages that are negative then our bodies will reflect that negative message of our own belief system. You know the saying, ‘if you think you can’t then you can’t’! Yes folks, we can be hostage to our negative subconscious thoughts. There is no one to blame if you’re an adult. By now you might be saying to yourself, but what can I do about it?
Here is the GOOD NEWS!
We can choose to live our life to the fullest by taking responsibility for what we are thinking, both negatively and positively. I’m challenging you to ‘listen’ to what your subconscious mind is telling you. Pay close attention to catching yourself at repeating old negative thoughts and begin the process of inserting positive thoughts into your subconscious with a powerful tool called ‘SELF-HYPNOSIS’.
Many people are intimidated by their impressions of meditation, visualization or hypnosis. Some see hypnosis as a silly form of entertainment or on the flip side it’s a mental exercise reserved for a few that want to escape reality, check out mentally and best suited for certain professionals that have studied the mind for decades. The truth is that meditation, visualization or hypnosis is an excellent tool to unite the mental, emotional and spiritual well being of our bodies.
Practicing self hypnosis and being proactive while in the state of focused concentration until the chatter is finely tuned by positive thinking. Utilizing the opportunity to ‘meditate’ versus entering into the state of ‘hypnosis’ is that it is a proactive approach to allow us the access to our own abilities to focus our mind and tune into positive mind processes rather than allowing our mind to continue the negative constant chatter. Once we realize how powerful our thought process is then we can capitalize on the opportunity to use self hypnosis as a way to change our life.
The unspoken truth about practicing self hypnosis is that you begin the process of reclaiming life, creating positive thoughts and habits.
